After installing the float valve, confirm that the water stop function is normal

Float level valve-failure may be caused by water pressure, or it may be blocked by scale. When the floating ball inlet is just installed, first confirm whether the water stop function of the floating ball inlet is normal. The test method is to gently pull up the white iron rod of the valve body. If the water stop is normal, it means that the float valve has no problem in its function of resisting water pressure. When installing the float valve, pay attention to the angle of installation of the float valve and whether there is any buoyancy caused by the float. If the pole is perpendicular to the water surface, the float will not be able to generate leverage. Float level valve-scale cleaning method

The common reason for the failure of the floating ball inlet is that the dirt of the water source jams the valve, which makes the switch unable to be tight, causing the water tower inlet to fail to stop the water. If the user has used the balanced float valve for a period of time, it is caused by the blockage of scale, do not think that the float inlet is malfunctioning, because the scale can be cleaned by itself.

When the floating ball valve is blocked by scale and fails, please swing the white iron rod up and down several times to let the scale flow out with the water source. If it still doesn’t work, then you can disassemble the floating ball feeder-the main body to remove the internal scale. The design structure of the balanced float water inlet can disassemble the main parts by itself to remove the dirt inside the float valve.

The user can loosen the four screws from the water outlet of the water inlet, as shown in Figure 3 after disassembly. Then remove the dirt inside the balance rod, and the float valve can be used normally.

In addition, the water source of the water tower has three inlets and outlets, namely the inlet pipe, where the float valve is installed; as well as the drain pipe and the water supply pipe. Therefore, in addition to the possibility of the failure of the float valve, the overflow of the water tower may also be caused by the overflow of the water supply pipe. There is a Kaohsiung customer who still overflows after changing the float valve. I asked her to confirm the water stop function of the float valve and confirm that it is normal. This means that the water tower overflows from other pipelines. After several investigations by her, there really was another cause.

There is a motor under the water tower of her house that is no longer in use, but there is a pipeline leading to the bottom of the water tower. She stopped the water at the water inlet and turned off all the taps in the house. She checked the water meter but it was still turning, indicating that the water entered the water tower from other places. After several inspections, it was found that the water ingress was the water supply pipeline from the motor to the water tower. The pressurized motor is usually not in use, but the water source will still push water into the water tower from below, that is, the check valve is broken, causing the water source to invert and the water tower overflows.

Balanced float valve can resist high water pressure

In summary, the reason for the overflow of the water tower is not just the failure of the floating ball feeder, it may be that there is water leakage in other places and you have not noticed it. In addition, the smaller the amount of influent water, it may also be a problem with the front-end pipeline, which needs to be carefully investigated. There is a long pipe from the water meter to the water storage tank, not all problems are in the float valve.

The floating ball of balanced design is ordinary, resistant to high pressure and not easily damaged by water pressure. In the event of a failure of the water inlet, you should first understand the water environment so that you can improve the water storage facilities of your home once and for all.
